📣Blooming from May through to August with clusters of flowers in shades of purple-violet, the plants flower so prolifically, you can hardly see the evergreen leaves below. There are very few ground covers that can be walked-on, but creeping thyme is one of them. It is suitable as a lawn substitute in small areas, an ideal ground cover to use between stepping stones or near to patios and walkways. Scented flowers.

Why Creeping Thyme Is an Optimal Ground Cover?
- It grows relatively quickly.
- It can tolerate foot traffic.
- It's perennial, returning every year and requiring much less maintenance than grass.
- It does not grow very tall—only about two to four inches maximum, so it won’t steal the show from other plants or shrubs.
- It's ideal for gardeners who are worried about pests, pets, or kids traipsing through their yard and holds up very well if walked on.
- It's deer and rabbit-resistant.
- Bees are attracted to it.
- All varieties have a nice fragrance.
- Creeping thyme grows in USDA hardiness zones 2 through 9.
